PurInstinct: Learning a New Sport Based on Fast Decision-Making
Friday September 18, 2026 9:00am - 10:15am EDT
PürInstinct is a no-contact sport played 3 against 2 (teams of 6, 7, or 8) on a simple field, indoors or outside. In this workshop, you will learn the basic rules to get the game running in minutes and discover the 6 levels of difficulty that progressively challenge your students' decision-making. Designed for ages 10 and up, this is an active workshop: be ready to play, participate, and have fun.

Different Ways to Get Striking and Fielding into your Phys. Ed Program
Monday September 21, 2026 9:00am - 10:15am EDT
This interactive workshop will provide teachers with the opportunity to experience and participate in a variety of striking and fielding games that can be integrated into their Physical Education programs. Participants will explore the fundamental skills, strategies, rules, and teaching approaches associated with Cricket, Baseball, Softball, and Baseball5. Through active participation and practical activities, teachers will gain ideas and resources to create engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for students of all skill levels.

Are you constantly trying to figure out new and fun ways to teach students new skills in your classroom? Creating games is a skill in itself and with practice, you can become proficient at tailoring your games to the needs of your students upon assessment. In this workshop you will learn how to merge different styles of games and components of skills from different sports and activities to help you key on the ones that need a little more attention in your classroom while keeping motivation high within a fun game like context.
