Community of Lead Practioners (CLPs) Meetup 1/2
Welcome back, pioneers of digital learning! 🌟

We are thrilled to gather for our first Community of Lead Practitioners (CLPs) Meetup.

As early adopters and peer mentors, you will spend this session experimenting with cutting-edge AI tools to design learning experiences that instantly captivate students, simplify your prep, and make teaching magical.

What We Are Exploring & Creating:
  • Canva for Education: Take your first official deep dive into our new design playground and discover how to build stunning visual resources in minutes with Canva AI 2.0
  • Gemini & Gems: Learn to prompt Gemini like a pro and design your own custom "Gems" (personalized AI teaching assistants) tailored to your curriculum.
  • NotebookLM: Upload your unit plans, PDFs, or articles and instantly generate interactive study guides, audio overviews, and deep-learning materials.
  • "Vibe Coding" for the Classroom: Step into the future of creation! Experience how easy it is to build custom micro-apps, interactive lessons, and web tools purely by talking to AI in plain language; no coding required.
  • Navigating the Future of Work: Join a collaborative discussion on how we can guide our students, teachers, and families through a rapidly shifting landscape. We will explore what life and careers look like as traditional jobs evolve or disappear, and how we can foster the adaptability and human-centric skills needed to thrive.
What to Bring:
  1. Your laptop (fully charged!).
  2. A digital unit plan, document, or lesson idea you want to "remix" and supercharge during our sandbox time.
  3. A lunch, or plan to try the local restaurants.

Community of Lead Practioners (CLPs) Meetup 2/2
Welcome back for our second and final CLP Meetup! This session is entirely co-designed by you, with our agenda driven directly by your feedback, questions, and hands-on experiences from our first meetup. Together, we will showcase the resources, custom Gems, and Vibe Coded mini-apps we've tested in our schools, tackle real-world rollout challenges, and collaborate on a practical playbook to support our colleagues with Canva and AI. Bring your laptop, your honest reflections, and a classroom remix you’ve tried as we pave a supportive path forward for our school communities!

🎪 Proposed Showcase Stations (The CLP "Science Fair")To bring our sharing to life, we can set up the room with these five interactive, hands-on stations where CLPs can rotate, test each other's creations, and gather ideas:
Station 1: The Canva Design Playground
  • The Vibe: Creative, visual, and highly practical.
  • What's Here: A display of the actual classroom flyers, templates, and presentation slide-decks CLPs created using Canva AI 2.0.
  • Key Takeaway: Real-world examples of how Canva AI saved teachers hours of planning and design time.
Station 2: The Custom "Gems" Lab
  • The Vibe: Collaborative, customized, and smart.
  • What's Here: Devices loaded up with custom-built Gemini Gems. Visitors can interact with these personalized AI teaching assistants (e.g., feedback coaches, specialized co-planners, or interactive role-playing bots).
  • Key Takeaway: See how easy it is to clone specialized teaching expertise into a reusable AI helper.
Station 3: The NotebookLM Audio & Resource Hub
  • The Vibe: Immersive and listening-focused (provide a couple of headphones!).
  • What's Here: A showcase of generated Study Guides and the popular AI-generated Deep-Dive Audio Overviews (podcasts) created from school-specific curriculum documents or unit plans.
  • Key Takeaway: Experiencing how dense materials can be transformed instantly into highly engaging, accessible formats.
Station 4: The "Vibe Coding" Arcade
  • The Vibe: Futuristic, interactive, and playful.
  • What's Here: iPads or laptops running the custom micro-apps created purely using natural language.
  • Key Takeaway: Demystifying app creation and showing that teachers (and students) don't need to know Python or Javascript to build fully functional web tools.
Station 5: Navigating the Career Horizon
  • The Vibe: Reflective, strategic, and thought-provoking.
  • What's Here: Interactive scenario-mapping cards, a collaborative whiteboard on "uniquely human skills," and draft guides or Canva resources designed to help families and teachers talk to students about career paths in the age of AI.
  • Key Takeaway: Practical strategies to reassure, guide, and prepare students and families for a landscape where traditional jobs are disappearing, emphasizing adaptability and critical thinking.
